The 2016 Advancing Justice Conference (AJC) is the first and only national conference in the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community focusing on civil rights and social justice. Over 700 AAPIs from across the U.S. will come together to address issues facing our fastest growing populations. The theme will focus on civic engagement and building our electoral and social power in support of economic and racial justice. Conference attendees will participate in two days of panel discussions, caucus sessions, skills and capacity building, trainings, and networking receptions.

Dean Matsubayashi is Executive Director of Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC), a 35-year-old neighborhood-based organization based in Little Tokyo. LTSC provides the social services that motivated its establishment along with programs focusing on holistic community growth, affordable housing, economic development, and revitalization of Little Tokyo. Matsubayashi serves on many non-profit boards of directors and on advisory boards for financial institutions and non-profit community development financial institutions. Matsubayashi grew up in the Venice neighborhood. He received his B.A. from the University of California, Irvine and his M.P.P. from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
