Working Towards Trans Justice: Trans 101 and Countering Discriminatory Policies in 2016

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The Houston Equal Rights Ordinance, an anti-discrimination initiative in Texas, was voted down in 2015 due to transphobic strategies. It is critical for progressive organizations to be ready for 2016. This workshop provides a basic training covering gender identity, terms, and issues affecting the transgender community. Join us in discussing potential anti-trans ballot initiatives and strategies to organize against them.
