Corporate Partnerships: An Innovative Source of Pro Bono and Volunteer Support

Many nonprofits call on attorneys from large law firm as volunteers. What about less traditional sources of volunteers, such as corporations or other businesses? These companies often have in-house attorneys and other employees - many of whom are bilingual - looking for ways to do community service. This panel will explore successful corporate employee volunteer partnerships, such as the one Advancing Justice-LA has with Bank of America, and OneJustice’s JusticeBus program, which organizes trips to underserved areas where law firms and their corporate clients volunteer together. This panel will also address how to potentially start a volunteer partnership with a corporation.
